HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF Anatomy
Prof.Dr.Uraimov Elaman is working as the Head of Department of Anatomy for the past 2 years. He has completed his M.phil Anatomy with distinction. He is also a PhD scholar. He is doing his research project on stem cells at Tissue Engineering. His 10 research articles are published in Kyrgyz recognized journals. Three more articles are in the process of publication. Currently, along with administrative and academic departmental duties, He is also given the charge of following additional administrative duties by the Rector Office
The department of Anatomy is one of the basic departments of the medical profession. Anatomy is the “mother” of all medical sciences and a “Sine quanon” basic science, which is the foundation of medical knowledge. The department teaches this captivating subject to more than 800 students including 1st and 2nd year students of MBBS, DPT, MLT and BSc Nursing in the elementary years of their training.
The domain of Anatomy includes General Anatomy, Microscopic Anatomy, Developmental Anatomy, Gross Anatomy and Neuroanatomy. The department offers a modern up to date integrated curriculum. The teaching hours of different disciplines are in accordance with the recommended specifications provided by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. Our teaching methodology includes lectures, group discussions, demonstrations, dissection of cadavers, and study of tissue microstructure in histology lab. The department has also been upgraded and provisionally approved by UHS for post graduate M.Phil. program.
